APCC
Vicky Nguyen is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who provides warm, compassionate, and person-centered care to individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. She believes therapy should be a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable being their authentic selves.
Vicky has experience working with active-duty service members, veterans, military spouses and children, as well as transitional-aged youth navigating the challenges of adulthood. She is also passionate about supporting individuals from diverse and marginalized communities and takes a multicultural approach that considers each person’s cultural identity, lived experiences, relationships, and environment as important parts of their mental health journey.
She holds a master’s degree in Multicultural Counseling with an emphasis in Social Justice Education. Her therapeutic approach draws from Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. Vicky thoughtfully adapts her approach to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals.
Her goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, safety, and collaboration while helping clients develop greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, healthier patterns, and meaningful change.
